PAC Golf

Wed. Nights match vs. Keenan ended officially in a draw as darkness prevented completion of the round, but thru 6 holes we were far ahead and the low man at that point was Luke Ozmint at 5 over.  Nice round Luke.

The tournament at Charwood went well.  Our team finished 14th out of 18 teams.   Congratulations to Jay for placing individually in 23rd place and David 41st in the 90 Man field.  A special thanks to Asher for stepping up on such short notice to play in his first Varsity event in a highly competitive field.  You are most courageous my friend and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Panther Baseball Splits with Hammond

The Panthers split a Junior Varsity / Varsity doubleheader with Hammond last night.  The Junior Varsity team won 9-3 behind the solid pitching of Trevor Dacus.  He struck out five Hammond batters while giving up four hits and two earned runs in his six innings of work.  Clay Dickinson pitched the final inning and gave up one hit and no runs. The Panthers pounded out 12 hits against two Hammond hurlers.  Anderson Blevins led the attack with three hits while Jacob Cain, Cal Hucks and Cole Owens all had two hits.  Anderson had two rbi’s while Cole, Jacob and Caleb Wilson all contributed one as well.  The JV team is now 5-0 on the season.

The varsity team lost 9-1 in its game.  Thomas Castles took the loss but the Panthers were done in this night be errors and a lack of hitting.  After squandering a first inning opportunity to score, the wheels came off in the bottom of the first when the Hammond team plated four runs after getting two hits and taking advantage of four Panther errors.  Hammond added three runs in the second and never looked back.  Thomas Castles, Logan Dickinson and Reese Hankins each collected one hit for the night. The Varsity team is now 3-2 on the season.

Both teams take to the diamond to play again this Saturday against North Central High School.
