Panthers – 3 Johnson’s Ferry Saints – 9
Johnson’s Ferry pounded out twelve hits in beating the Panthers 9-3 on Saturday evening. Timmy George paced the Saints with three hits, including a three run home run, and six RBI’s.
The Panthers had four hits in the loss. Parker Pocock singled in the third inning. In the fourth, the Panthers strung several hits together to score their three runs. James Reed led off with a double. After Cal Hucks received a walk, James scored on a single by Matthew Derrick. Avery Blevins reached on an error to load the bases. Caleb Green singled to drive in the final two Panther runs.
Cal Hucks (0-1) started the game on the mound for PAC. He pitched three and two-thirds innings. He gave up eight runs but only four of them were earned. He allowed nine hits and struck out two. He was followed to the mound by Dan Beam who finished the game. He pitched one and one-third innings. He allowed one earned run on three hits.
The loss dropped the Panthers to 8-5. The Panthers face a daunting week, playing five games in five days.
