Panther Baseball Falls to Hammond Skyhawks

Not too much to write about for this game. The Panthers surrendered seven runs in the top of the first inning and never got back into the game. They only had one hit (Caleb Green – a single) and never really threatened to score. The Panthers had eleven assists but committed seven errors to help the Skyhawks along to their victory.

Micah West (2-1) was the starting pitcher and deserved better than he got. He only allowed two hits and one earned run but the team gave up six unearned runs behind him. Micah pitched three innings before giving way to David Hucks for the final two innings. David also allowed two hits, giving up six runs only two of which were earned. The Panthers fell to 7-3.
