Panther Baseball Falls to Concord Stallions

Panthers – 1       Concord Stallions – 12

The Panthers lost a game to the Concord (N.C.) Stallions on Friday night at Bray Park. This was a game that the Stallions dominated from the beginning, scoring runs in all five innings played.  The Panthers helped them out tremendously by committing seven errors.

John Edens scored the lone Panther run when he singled in the fifth inning, stole second and third base and scored on a sacrifice fly by James Reed. The Panthers had five hits, led by Avery Blevins who singled and doubled.  Others with hits were John Edens, Cal Hucks and Jacob Robinson.

Will Lawyer (1-3) was the starting pitcher for PAC, pitching three innings and taking the loss. Will has pitched better than his record indicates as he has faced some tough teams and the defense played behind him has been less than stellar.  John Edens and Caleb Green each pitched one inning (this was Caleb’s first time on the mound this year.

The Panthers record falls to 7-4.
