Panther Baseball Collects 100th Victory as a Program – Beat Anderson 3-1

The Panthers won their 100th game as a varsity program in dominating fashion as James Reed (1-0) hurled a one hitter against the Anderson Cavaliers, facing sixteen batters (only one over the minimum in a five inning game).  He had six strikeouts and only walked one batter in gaining the victory.

Parker Pocock scored two runs including the first Panther run in the bottom of the first inning. Parker banged out a single and stole second base. He scored on a double by James Reed.  Parker scored again in the third inning when he doubled and went to third on a single by James Reed.  He then scored on a sacrifice fly by Cal Hucks.  James Reed scored on a single by Avery Blevins.

The Panther had five hits in their victory. Parker and James both had two hits, including a single and a double.  Avery had the other hit for PAC.

The Panthers improved their record to 8-4.
