Panther Baseball (B-Team) Beats Upstate Eagles

Panther (B-Team) – 16  Upstate Eagles – 15

The Upstate Eagles journeyed to Columbia to play the Panthers in a B-Team / Varsity doubleheader. The first game pitted the two B-Teams against each other in what turned out to be a very exciting game.  The teams combined for thirty-one runs on thirty hits.  This was a back and forth game that was not decided until the bottom of the last inning when the Panthers came from behind by scoring three runs to win the game.

Cameron Duke led the Panthers with four singles and scored three runs. Andrew French and Josh Quill had three singles each with Andrew scoring four runs.  Micaiah Hinkle had three hits including two singles and a triple.  He also scored three runs.  Will Owens had two singles and scored two runs.  Billy Amick had three hits with two doubles and a triple.  He scored two runs and had seven RBI’s.

Andrew French was the starting pitcher for PAC going two innings. He allowed five unearned runs.  Josh pitched the next two innings allowing six runs only two of which were earned.  Ethan Hucks pitched one inning allowing four earned runs.  Will Owens pitched the final inning and did not allow a run.
