JV Baseball Falls to Wilson Hall Barons

Panthers (JV)  3                                                Wilson Hall 12

The JV Panthers suffered a loss on Wednesday night against a very good Wilson Hall Team.  The Barons outhit the Panthers 12-3 in cruising to their victory.  Cole Owens double in two runs for the Panthers in the 6th inning.  The other run scored on a sacrifice fly by Anderson Blevins.  Cal Hucks and Daniel Barfield had the other two hits for the home team.  Cal Hucks was the starting pitcher.  He gave up eight runs but only four were earned as his defense let him down by making three errors.  He allowed nine hits, struck out one and walked five.  Patrick Brunson relieved Cal in the 5th inning; giving up four earned runs on three hits and three walks.  He struck out one Baron batter.  The Panther JV squad is now 7-5-1 and now takes a well deserved Easter break.  They will be back in action next Tuesday, April 2nd, against the Lions from Augusta Christian.
