Panther Baseball Falls to Richard Winn Eagles

The Panthers lost their third game in a row, falling to the Richard Winn Eagles on Tuesday night at Bray Park. The Panthers took the lead in the bottom of the first inning when McKinley Proctor singled and then scored when Caleb Green reached on an error by the Eagle third baseman.

The Eagles tied the game up in the top of the second on an error and two straight singles. The Panthers retook the lead in the bottom of the frame when Alex McKay walked, advanced to third on a hit by Jonathan Sarazen and then scored on an error by the Eagle catcher.

The Eagles tied the game back up in the top of the third and then the wheels fell off for the Panthers. The Eagles scored five runs in the fifth inning and eight runs in the seventh.

The Eagles outhit the Panthers 11-3 as the Panthers were facing the Eagles ace who is undefeated in conference play.

Game Notes: The Panthers had three hits: McKinley had one and Jonathan had two. The Panthers fall to 9-6 with the loss. Samuel Leslie took the pitching loss, evening his record at 1-1. The Panthers had six assists in the game led by Avery Blevins with three and Samuel Leslie with two. The Panthers take to the Diamond again on Saturday against the Greenville Hurricanes.
