Panther (B-Team) Baseball Sweeps Low Country in Double Header

Panthers (B-Team) – 15                Low Country Wildcats – 4

The Panthers scored six runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in winning the first game of a B-Team doubleheader against the Low Country Wildcats in Charleston on Saturday. The big blow was a two RBI triple by Billy Amick after the Wildcats had walked the bases loaded.  The Panthers added two more runs in the 3rd, one run in the 4th and then ended the game another six run outburst in the 5th.  Billy Amick, Josh Quill and Ethan Hucks all had RBI’s in the rally.

The Panthers had ten hits in the game. Billy Amick had three hits, including his triple, and four RBI’s.  Micaiah Hinkle had a single and a triple and scored three runs.  Will Owens had two hits and scored three runs.

Andrew French was the starting pitcher for PAC. He pitched two innings, allowing one earned run on two hits.  He was relieved by Samuel Reed who also pitched two innings.  Samuel allowed one earned run on one hit.  Chris Johnson pitched the final inning for the Panthers allowing two earned runs on two hits.

Game Notes: The Panthers B-Team is now 4-4 on the year.

Panthers (B-Team) – 9   Low Country Wildcats – 4

The Panthers swept the Low Country Wildcats in a double header in Charleston on Saturday afternoon. After winning game one 15-4, the Panthers won game two, 9-4.

The Panthers followed a familiar script in winning the second game. After taking control of game one in the first inning by plating six runs, the Panthers once again took control in the first inning by scoring five runs.  Cameron Duke, Billy Amick and Micaiah Hinkle all had RBI’s in the rally.

The Panthers added their final four runs in the second on three hits. Andrew French and Billy had RBI’s in the rally.  The Wildcats scored single runs in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings.

The Panthers had nine hits in their victory. Micaiah and Cameron Duke led the Panthers with two singles each.  Billy had two RBI’s.

The Panther had five pitchers in this game. Chris Johnson was the starter, allowing one run on one hit.  Justin Thurber followed Chris to the mound, hurling two innings.  He allowed one earned run on one hit.  Cameron Duke pitched 2/3’s of an inning allowing one earned run on one hit.  Ethan Hucks finished up that inning allowing one run on no hits.  Billy Amick finished the game on the mound and did not allow a run.
