PAC Baseball (JV) Falls to Ben Lippen

Panthers (JV) – 0              Ben Lippen – 15

The Panthers JV let this game get away from them as they continue to learn what it takes to win at this level. Lack of focus on communication will prolong innings unnecessarily and that let’s bad things happen.

True the team needs to hit better but hopefully that will come with time and practice and age. They faced a 10th grade pitcher last night with at least four eight graders in the line-up.  The thing they have got to cut out is giving up unearned runs.  Ben Lippen only scored eight earned runs and I think that was on pretty generous scoring.  Watching the game, I would have told you the Falcons probably only had three to four earned runs.  Encourage your young men to stay the course, to work hard and to listen to their coaches.

McKinley and Avery had the only two hits for the Panthers. Samuel Leslie was the starting pitcher and deserved better than what he got.  He allowed eight hits.  David Hucks followed Samuel to the mound and gave up six hits.

Game Notes: The Panther JV team is now 3-4.  The Panthers had four assists and were led by Whit Melnyk who had two.  The Panthers only had three productive at bats in the game.
